Fragrant Rose Mouhalabieh

Sweet mouhalabieh flavoured with traditional Jebel Akhdar rose water.

COOKS IN 30 minutes


3 cups Mazoon Dairy Milk
½ cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon traditional Jebel Akhdar rose water
2 whole crushed cardamoms
1 cup cream
Chopped pistachio nuts


  1. Boil Mazoon Dairy Milk and sugar.
  2. Combine cold water and cornstarch, and then mix with the boiled milk.
  3. When the mixture thickens, turn off the heat.
  4. Add fragrant rose water, crushed cardamom and cream.
  5. Allow to cool and then chill. Enjoy this quintessential Middle Eastern dessert in small bowls topped with nuts.
