Aug 18th, 2021, Mazoon Dairy held on Wednesday a celebration to honor 21 outstanding students from public, private, as well as from literacy schools in Al-Buriami governorate at the company’s headquarter in Wilayat Al Sunaynah.
The Honoring comes as a part of Mazoon’s social responsibility strategy and within Ejada program which, in its first phase, targets Al Buriami governorate’s schools. In the future, the program looks forward to other governorates and broader fields such as education, development, and innovation.
On behalf of Mazoon Dairy Company, Corporate Affairs Manager Mr. Yousuf Bin Khamis Al Fazari has honor the outstanding students at Mazoon Dairy premises at Wilayat of |Al Sunaynah, who confirmed that the company spares no effort in supporting educational activities and developing the local community in the governorate, where social responsibility is an integral part of Mazoon Dairy’s activities.  He added that the company plays a leading role in creating sustainable societies in the Sultanate by providing training, education, and community empowerment, which are basic pillars in the revival of nations parallel and with Oman Vision 2040.
Dr. Sultan bin Khamis Al Yahyai, ​​Assistant General Director at Al-Buraimi Directorate of Education, expressed his pleasure at conducting such community initiatives by Mazoon Dairy. “Those ventures have a major role in motivating students outstanding in the General Diploma at the level of the governorate’s schools for the academic year 2020-2021” he noted, affirming that the company always works alongside Al-Buraimi Directorate of Education by supporting various educational activities and events. He explained that this honor comes as a motivation for students and their parents, based on a belief in the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to improve the work and constant encouragement of the creative and distinguished students.
The ceremony included an introductory visit for the distinguished students and several of the Directorate Officials to the farm and factory facilities, where the attendees learned about the techniques used in food manufacturing processes.
Rashid bin Khalfan Al Muqbali, Administration and Facilities Manager at Mazoon Dairy, asserted on the importance of the introductory visits for students, which aim to introduce them to the state-of-art techniques used in the company’s facilities. He indicated that the students were introduced to the farm and its facilities, which is one of the latest farms in the region in terms of techniques used for livestock care, including barns that automatically turn into a closed and cooled area and the temperature inside the barns reaches up to 25° to 27°.
Al Muqbali added “The attendees also toured the factory, which consists of four main sections: main manufacturing unit, the training building, the plastic packaging factory and the services unit. The factory was constructed on an area of ​​50,000 square meters. It is one of the largest food processing facilities in the region, with a production capacity of up to one million liters per day. The attendees learnt about the mechanism of the biogas production plant, which converts farm waste into gas that is used as an alternative energy to operate some equipment in the factory. The plant also consists of advanced environmental solutions such as a special sewage plant where its water output is used in irrigation systems and for cleaning some facilities. It also has an internal water desalination plant to supply staff housing, factory and the farm.
The ceremony was attended by several officials from Al-Buraimi Directorate of Education and Mazoon’s Dairy.
