Work on Oman’s flagship dairy project Mazoon Dairy continues to make rapid progress with four new contracts being announced for the RO100mn dairy and juice manufacturing facility in Al Buraimi.
Mazoon Dairy has appointed Oman National Engineering & Investment Co. to construct the primary power station, while Dawood Engineering Company has been contracted to oversee the operations.
Leading American company Pinnacle Climate Technologies has been contracted to provide cow cooling systems that will ensure proper ventilation and high standards of hygiene at the farm in addition to creating a comfortable environment for the herd. Each cooler will accommodate 13 cows, while direct-drive fans will increase efficiency and reduce maintenance at the facility.
Specialist American supplier Farm Service BV has been contracted to provide equipment for the milking parlor. This includes two main 120-unit milking parlors, one 40-unit hospital parlor, an automatic ID system with activity feed time and conductivity meters to aid herd management and an automated herd matrix management programme to manage efficiency.
